How to Display and Care for Your Enamel Keychain Collection

Once you've got more than one or two car pins, it stops being "a keychain" and starts being a collection. Here's how to keep it looking sharp.

Cleaning: A soft, slightly damp cloth is all you need. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scrubbing — baked enamel is durable, but you don't need to test it.

Everyday carry: Baked enamel (which is what every Car Pin Collection design uses) holds up well to being on an actual keyring, bag, or jacket zipper day after day — that's exactly what it's built for.

Display options for larger collections:

  • A simple pin/keychain display board or corkboard mounted near your desk or garage
  • A shadow box for pins you want to keep pristine rather than clipped to keys
  • Clipped directly to a lanyard or bag strap if you'd rather wear your collection than shelve it

Rotating your keychain: A lot of collectors keep one "daily" pin on their actual keys and rotate the rest seasonally, or match their keychain to whichever car they're driving that day if they own more than one.
